Karl Herbolzheimer

Karl Herbolzheimer (born February 17, 1915 in Göppingen ; † March 15, 2007 there ) was a German handball goalkeeper .

Live and act

Herbolzheimer began his career with the Göppingen gymnastics club . He was with the German national handball team as a goalkeeper in 1938 world champion . His nickname was: "The man with 1000 hands".

The 92-year-old from Herbolzheim was the last surviving player on the world championship team from back then. He last lived in a nursing home in his hometown of Göppingen and died on March 15, 2007 in Göppingen after a short, serious illness.
