Karl Hocheder

Karl Ritter von Hocheder (born August 22, 1825 in Aschaffenburg , † February 5, 1913 in Munich ) was President of the Senate at the Reich Court .

Life

The son of a high school professor from Aschaffenburg studied in Munich and Heidelberg. He entered the Bavarian civil service in 1847. In 1849 he passed the state examination. In 1851 he became an accessist at the Court of Appeal for Lower Franconia and Aschaffenburg in Aschaffenburg. In 1855 he became an assessor at the Nuremberg District and City Court. In 1857, he returned to the appellate court for Lower Franconia and Aschaffenburg as an assessor. In 1865 he became the second public prosecutor there. In 1867 he became a councilor there. In 1871 he was promoted to senior public prosecutor at the Higher Appeal Court, initially in title and rank, two months later he also received his salary. In 1871 he was appointed chairman of the examination committee. In 1872 he became Ministerialrat in the Ministry of Justice. In 1874 he became II. Vice President of the Reich Higher Commercial Court . In 1879 he became Dr. iur. hc from the law faculty of the University of Leipzig. With the establishment of the Reichsgericht, he moved to the 1st Criminal Senate as President of the Senate in 1879 . In 1886 he became President of the Senate of the VI. Civil Senate of the Imperial Court . He retired on the New Year of 1891.
