Karl Jakob Rohr
Karl Jakob Rohr (baptized 1790 in Kirchleerau ; † April 12, 1863 in Bern ) was a Swiss doctor.
Pipe came from the regiment enabled family tube consisting Staufen came and in 1600 in Bern settled. He was the son of Pastor Emanuel Rohr (1757–1811) and Sophia Margaretha Elisabeth Siegfried from Zofingen . He was the uncle of the benefactor Georg Emanuel Ludwig Ziegler . Rohr studied at the academy in Bern and Berlin. In 1815 he was commissioned to set up and run a military hospital in the former Frienisberg monastery . In 1823 he married Maria Elisabeth Gruner in Bolligen. He later became head of the outpatient hospital in Bern and was also a member of the Inselkollegium .
