Karl Joseph Bouginé
Karl Joseph Bouginé (born March 22, 1735 in Pforzheim ; † May 29, 1797 in Karlsruhe ) was a German Protestant theologian and teacher .
Bouginé, whose grandfather immigrated from Valenciennes in France , studied theology and philology at the University of Tübingen from 1753–1758 . He then worked as an assistant pastor in Pforzheim and in neighboring parishes. From 1758 he was a teacher, among other things for Latin and ancient Greek , at the princely high school in Karlsruhe. There he taught, for example, the later poet Johann Peter Hebel . In 1773 Bouginé was appointed Church Assessor and in 1780 (Secret) Church Council. From 1790 he was director of the Karlsruhe grammar school .
He also wrote the five-volume handbook of the general Litterar history based on Heumann's plan .
The Black Forest country doctor Adolph Heinrich Bouginé (1815–1887) was just as much a brother of Bouginé as the Freiburg freight forwarder Wilhelm Bouginé.
