Karl Kasper Franz von der Leyen and Hohengeroldseck - also Karl Kasper IV. Von der Leyen - (born July 19, 1655 in Adendorf ; † November 30, 1739 in Koblenz ) was a German Imperial Count and Imperial Real Privy Councilor .

Life

Karl Kasper was born the son of the baron Hugo Ernst von der Leyen zu Adendorf († 1665) and Sophia Maria Quad von Buschfeld. Karl Kaspar von der Leyen , Elector of Trier, was his uncle.

In 1687 he became master of Forbach and Blieskastel . In 1692 he was enfeoffed with the rule Hohengeroldseck and on November 22, 1711 he was raised to the status of imperial count. In 1716 he also became a member of the Austrian hereditary counts. As early as 1733 he renounced the lords of Blieskastel, Münchweiler and Burrweiler in favor of his son .

On December 28, 1687, he married Countess Sophie Maria von Schönborn-Wiesentheid (1670–1742) in Mainz with whom he had seven children.
