Karl Kemedinger

Karl Kemedinger (* 29. September 1897 in Erdberg , South Moravia ; † 1. May 1964 in Ilmenau , GDR ) was a German porcelain - designer , sculptor and painter .

After school, Kemedinger began training at the State College for the Sound Industry in Znojmo , which was interrupted by the First World War. As a result, he emigrated from the newly founded Czechoslovakia and went to Dresden , later to Magdeburg and finally to Ilmenau , where he worked as a designer in the largest porcelain factory in the city, Graf von Henneberg Porzellan Ilmenau . He also worked for other porcelain manufacturers, such as Metzler & Ortloff . His specialty was animal sculptures , he also created relief pictures and paintings.
