Karl Knipschild

Karl Knipschild (born April 5, 1935 in Westernbödefeld ; † February 17, 2016 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending primary school , he completed an agricultural apprenticeship and worked as a self-employed farmer until 1964. He then worked for various employers, most recently as a sales consultant for BASF AG Ludwigshafen. He had been a member of the CDU since 1964. He was active in numerous party bodies.

Local politician and MP

In 1964 Karl Knipschild became a member of the municipal council of the municipality of Bödefeld-Land , of which he was mayor from 1969 to 1974. From 1970 to 1974 he was also the mayor of the Fredeburg office . He was a member of the city council of Schmallenberg from 1975 to 1989.

From May 29, 1980 to May 31, 1995 Knipschild was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was in each constituency 144 Hochsauerlandkreis III - Siegen I directly elected. Knipschild was for many years chairman of the parliament's petitions committee .
