Daniel Corso (born April 3, 1978 in Montreal , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with HK Junost Minsk in the Belarusian extra league .
Career
Daniel Corso began his career as a hockey player with the Victoriaville Tigers , for which he was active from 1994 to 1998 in the Québec Major Junior Hockey League . During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 1996 in the seventh round as a total of 169th player of the St. Louis Blues . Initially, Corso played from 1998 to 2000 exclusively for their farm team from the American Hockey League , the Worcester IceCats , before he made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Blues during the 2000/01 season . After Corso only played one time for St. Louis in the NHL in the 2002/03 season, he moved to their league rivals Atlanta Thrashers for the following season , where he was unable to prevail.
In summer 2004 Corso went to Europe for the first time in his career , where he was on the ice for one season each in the German Ice Hockey League for the Kassel Huskies and Frankfurt Lions . Following his time in the DEL, the Canadian returned to North America , where he was only active in the AHL before he received a contract in the Russian Super League with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod during the 2007/08 season . After the season, Kärpät Oulu signed the center, with which he was runner-up in the 2008/09 season. From June 2009 he was under contract with Timrå IK in the Elitserien , before Corso was obliged by HK Dinamo Minsk from the Continental Hockey League in late December 2010 .
In September 2012, his current contract with Dinamo Minsk was terminated prematurely and Corso was subsequently without a club. In early January 2013, he from Lausanne HC obliged by the Canadians in the 2012/13 season the championship of the National League B won and promotion to the National League A managed.
Between 2015 and 2018 Corso played for HK Junost Minsk in the Belarusian extra league and won the IIHF Continental Cup with it in 2018 .
