Karl Krafft-Lortzing
Karl Krafft-Lortzing (born February 16, 1856 in Vienna , † July 22, 1923 in Pasing ) was an Austrian conductor and composer .
Life
Krafft-Lortzing was a theater conductor. In 1900 he was elected by the city of Innsbruck as the new conductor of the Innsbruck City Orchestra. He took up this position at Easter 1901. One of his duties was to give concerts every Sunday in the Hotel Grauer Bär and every Monday in the Habsburg Court. On the other days he performed in the city hall.

Karl Krafft-Lortzing was born as the youngest of four siblings to Karl Krafft (1819-1900) and Caroline Elisabeth Henriette Charlotte Lortzing (1828-1917). His son is the singer Alfred Krafft-Lortzing . His grandfather was the composer Albert Lortzing .
