Karl Kreft

Karl Kreft (born February 8, 1879 in Kirchlengern , † 1932 in Klein Schönfeld , Greifenhagen district ) was a German farmer and politician of the DNVP .

Life

Kreft was born the son of a farmer and was of Protestant faith. He attended elementary school in Kirchlengern from 1885 to 1893 and then worked in his parents' farm. In 1910 he bought a farm in Lakomowo near Bromberg , which he managed in the following years. From September 1915 to January 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier . After the war he worked as chairman of the district farmers' council in the Bromberg district . In the 1920s he worked as a farmer on Gut Vogelsang near Greifenhagen .

Kreft joined the German National People's Party (DNVP) after the November Revolution and was a board member of the DNVP district association Bromberg. In 1919/20 he was a member of the Weimar National Assembly for constituency 8 (Posen) .
