Karl Krehahn
Karl Krehahn (born February 1, 1869 in Rannstedt near Apolda , Thuringia , † January 24, 1946 in Graz ) was an Austrian music teacher .
Life
Krehahn studied violin with Carl Halir and worked as an orchestral violinist in Mannheim , Hamburg and Chicago before he came to Graz in 1893 as a teacher at the Musikverein, later the Conservatory (Conservatory of the Styrian Music Association) .
Awarded the title of professor in 1925 , he trained several well-known violinists here. One of his students was Alfons Vodosek (1912–1996), who was concertmaster of the Bruckner Orchestra in Linz from 1938 to 1977 .
