Life

Karl Philipp zu Ingelheim served (like many other family members) the Electorate of Mainz in high offices. He was electoral councilor, treasurer and court and chamber music director.

In 1774 he became a senior bailiff in the Königstein district office . In 1781 he made this office available at the request of the elector, since the Oberamt Königstein was merged with the Oberamt Höchst as part of an administrative reform . In view of his merits, he was allowed to use the office and the hunting and fishing to which he was previously entitled for a small annual rent of 50 guilders.
