Karl Ploberger (2018)

Karl Ploberger (born June 20, 1959 in Vöcklabruck ) is an Austrian journalist, presenter and non-fiction author. He became known as the " organic gardener " of ORF Upper Austria .

Life

Karl Ploberger graduated from the commercial academy in Vöcklabruck . In addition to studying commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business , Ploberger worked as a freelancer for the daily newspaper Kurier . There he rose to the position of editor-in-chief of the Upper Austria edition.

He has been working for ORF since 1988 . Initially he was employed in the current service , in 1998 he became marketing manager for Upper Austria. From 1993 he regularly presented gardening tips in the Upper Austria edition of Bundesland heute . From 2004 to 2005 he was the presenter of the TV magazine Willkommen Österreich alongside Martina Rupp . Since 2006 he has hosted the weekly TV program Natur im Garten .

In his role as an organic gardener, he regularly publishes in various media, such as the Kleine Zeitung .

Ploberger is married and has one daughter.
