Karl Raute

Karl Raute (born December 8, 1910 in Büdingen , † June 15, 1989 in Friedberg (Hesse) ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

After attending elementary school and advanced high school in Friedberg, Karl Raute did an apprenticeship with the Friedberg district administration and passed the administrative examination for the senior service. From 1945 he was head of the Friedberg district youth welfare office. From May 1, 1937, he was a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 5.576.986). He was also a member of the SA .

Karl Raute was a member of the SPD and was chairman of the SPD Friedberg in his party in 1954 and district chairman in 1962.

From 1956 he was a city councilor in Friedberg, where he led the SPD parliamentary group as parliamentary group leader. From January 6, 1966 to December 31, 1975 he was mayor of the district town of Friedberg.

Between December 1, 1962 and November 30, 1970, Karl Raute was a member of the Hessian state parliament for two electoral terms. In 1964 he was a member of the 4th, 1969 the 5th Federal Assembly .

In Friedberg, the Karl-Raute-Weg is named after him.
