Karl Reinecke (field provost)

Karl Reinecke (also: Carl Reinecke and Ernst Carl Friedrich Reinecke , full name also Karl Ernst Friedrich Reinecke and Carl Ernst Friedrich Reinecke ; born September 1, 1797 in the Aegidien garden community in front of Hanover ; † 1877 ) was a German pastor , royal Hanoverian garrison preacher , Rector of the garrison school in Hanover and field provost .

Life

Ernst Carl Friedrich Reinecke was born in 1797 in the Electorate of Braunschweig-Lüneburg .

Reinecke's professional career began in what would later become the royal seat of the Kingdom of Hanover when he worked as a collaborator in the then garrison church in 1822 . In 1828 he received the position of pastor at the St. Nicolai Church in Bothfeld , but returned to Hanover the following year to work - again at the Garrison Church - now as the first pastor of the parish in the building on Schmiedestraße at the corner of Kniehauerstraße. the later place Am Marstall . Also in 1829, Reinecke took over the management of the garrison school in Hanover, which was set up for the largest and most important garrison in the kingdom, as its rector.

In 1859 Carl Reinecke was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Guelph Order . In the following year 1860 he was awarded the title of garrison preacher. In 1862 he was finally appointed field provost of the Hanoverian army .

Carl Reinecke retired as a clergyman in 1867 at the age of 70, but was the speaker at the inauguration of the Hanover Memorial in Langensalza in 1868.
