Karl Reu

Karl Reu (* 14. March 1940 in Crailsheim ) is a German lawyer , judge , prosecutor , notary , author , politician of the CDU , and former mayor of his hometown.

Life and work

Reu was initially a legal adviser at the former IHK Heidenheim . Later he worked, among other things, as head of a court, judge, public prosecutor and lawyer. He also worked as a notary in Leipzig . Later he also worked as a lawyer and mediator , as well as a business mediator . He also appeared as a book author.

From 1983 to 1991 he was mayor of his hometown. In 1991 he missed re-election and was defeated by his SPD opponent Georg Schlenvoigt . His invitation in 1987 to the former Jewish citizens of Crailsheim is particularly remembered .

Reu now lives in Bad Mergentheim .
