Karl Schmidt (lawyer)
Karl Albrecht Schmidt (born June 25, 1898 in Bayreuth , † 1972 in Bad Reichenhall ) was a German judge.
Life
Schmidt was drafted into military service in May 1917, moved to the Western Front with the 18th Bavarian foot artillery battalion and participated in the Battle of Soissons (1915) , the Battle of Verdun and the Battle of Cambrai . At the beginning of August 1918 he was assigned to the officer corps in Grafenwöhr , where he saw the end of the war. He then took up law studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University . In 1919 he was reciprocated in the Corps Hercynia Munich . In 1930 he was Assessor a. D. and bank counsel. From April to August 1919 he was a volunteer in the Epp Freikorps and participated in the suppression of the Munich Soviet Republic .
From 1953 to 1966 Schmidt was a federal judge at the Federal Administrative Court in Berlin.
