Karl Schnitzler (Chief Bailiff)

Karl Schnitzler (born June 9, 1823 in Rottenburg am Neckar , † July 15, 1893 in Ellwangen (Jagst) ) was a German administrative officer and parliamentarian.

Life

Karl Schnitzler, son of a hatter, attended the high school in Rottweil . He then studied criminal science from 1842 to 1847 at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . At the beginning of his studies he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Tübingen. In 1847 he passed the 1st and in 1848 the 2nd higher service examination. In the following years he was initially provisional and then definitive actuary in the Oberamt Wiblingen . In 1852 he became a city scholar in Rottenburg and in 1865 an actuary at the Nagold Office . In 1867 he became an assessor in the government of the Jagstkreis in Ellwangen. From 1870 to 1888 he was chief official of Oberamts Riedlingen . His last position was in 1888 as a member of the council of the Jagstkreis government.

From 1856 to 1862, Karl Schnitzler was a member of the Second Chamber of the Württemberg estates as a member of the Rottenburg Upper Office .
