Karl Schwämmlein
Karl Schwämmlein (born February 14, 1917 in Amberg ; † April 16, 2009 there ) was a German teacher and school principal. He carried out fundamental research on the music history of Amberg, also in collaboration with his son Helmut Schwämmlein .
biography
In 1936 he completed his Abitur at the Amberg Teachers' Training College (today's Max Reger Gymnasium ), and then did military service until 1945. After the Second World War he worked as a teacher in Etzelwang , Steinling and Amberg. From 1972 to 1979 he was rector of the Dreifaltigkeitsschule Amberg.
