Karl Severin Unterberger

Karl Severin Unterberger (born April 21, 1893 in Schwaz ; † June 17, 1984 ) was an Austrian sculptor and painter .

Life

Karl Unterberger was born in Schwaz in 1893 as the son of an innkeeper. From October 1913 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in the drawing school of Martin Feuerstein , then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna . After a year in Paris he returned to Schwaz and worked there as a sculptor and painter. His son Hartwig Unterberger also became a sculptor.

Karl Untersberger created figural sculptures in stone, wood, metal, and in copper -driven reliefs.
