Karl Strecker (born April 8, 1862 in Dummadel , Greifenberg district , † February 19, 1933 in Garmisch ) was a German writer and theater critic .

Life

Strecker was born as the son of a manorial estate owner in Dummadel in the Greifenberg district in Pomerania . He attended high school in Belgard and then studied in Berlin. He became an officer , then a journalist , and from 1894 an editor at the Volksrundschau . From 1901 he was a theater advisor for the Tälichen Rundschau in Berlin and wrote theater reviews .

Strecker was also active as a writer and dramaturge .
