Karl Theodor Uhrig

Karl Theodor Uhrig (born June 14, 1923 in Mannheim ; † February 7, 2000 in Lahr ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

education and profession

Karl Theodor Uhrig was a teacher at the commercial college in Lahr and later headed the integrated vocational high school, the commercial vocational school, the vocational college and the vocational school in Lahr.

Political activity

From 1956 to 1970 Uhrig was deputy district chairman of the CDU. From 1962 to 1991 he was a member of the Lahr municipal council, from 1965 to 1984 the district council of the Lahr district and the Ortenau district . From 1967 to 1992 he sat in the state parliament of Baden-Wuerttemberg and represented the state electoral district of Lahr . There he was chairman of the cultural policy committee and the committee for schools, youth and sport.

honors and awards

In 1978 he received the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany, in 1983 the Great Cross of Merit, in 1989 the Great Cross of Merit with a Star and on April 25, 1992 the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg .
