Karl Thiele (born February 1948 ) is a German actor , theater director and author.

Live and act

Karl Thiele was born the son of a building contractor in the state of Brandenburg . He studied from 1967 to 1971 at the University of Film and Television in Potsdam / Babelsberg and then got an engagement at the Landestheater Dessau , where he played around 160 different roles over the course of more than four decades.
1988 graduated from the Thiele Erich Engel - Seminar for directing , a five-day training event organized by the Association of theater artists of the GDR for young directors and resulted in about 40 pieces directing.
In addition, Karl Thiele was involved in numerous film and television productions, active in radio and worked as a voice actor.
From 1989 to 1992 and 2002 to 2005 he was director of the acting ensemble of the Dessau Theater.
Although Karl Thiele retired in October 2014, he continues to work at the theater.
