Karl Weinbacher
Karl Weinbacher (born June 23, 1898 in Stettin , † May 16, 1946 in Hameln ) was a German authorized signatory and war criminal .
Life
Weinbacher worked for the German Pest Control Society (Degesch) until 1924 and then at Tesch & Stabenow (Testa), where he was granted power of attorney in 1927 and in 1943 was deputy management under the company owner and managing director Bruno Tesch . Testa sold Zyklon B , which was used not only for pest control and disinfestation , but also to murder people in the gas chambers of Auschwitz during the Holocaust . Weinbacher received a one percent share from the sales of Zyklon B.
After the end of the Second World War , Tesch, Weinbacher and Joachim Drosihn, another employee of the company, were arrested on September 3, 1945 by members of the British military administration. As part of the Curiohaus trial , the three accused were heard in the so-called Testa trial because of the deliveries of Zyklon B from March 1, 1946. In the case of Tesch and Weinbacher, the court considered it proven that both knew the purpose of Zyklon B. Tesch and Weinbacher 8 March 1946 were most to death by the strand convicted and in prison for war criminals Hameln in May 1946 executed , Drosihn was acquitted.
