Milenko Smiljanić

Milenko Smiljanić (* 1942 in Barlovo, Yugoslavia , now part of the Kuršumlija municipality , Serbia ; † August 14, 2012 in Subotica , Serbia) was a Serbian trade union official.

He studied sociology at the University of Belgrade . Later he was a high school teacher in Bačka Palanka and a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Novi Sad in Subotica . In Subotica he was union secretary from 1989 and was a member of the local council in the 1990s. From 2000 to 2007 he was chairman of the trade union confederation Savez samostalnih sindikata Srbije (Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia). He was succeeded by Ljubisav Orbović .
