Karl Wilhelm Albes (also: Carl Wilhelm Albes * February 24, 1793 in Northeim ; † after 1850) was a German Royal Hanoverian military musician , music director , clarinetist , freemason and bailiff or bailiff .

Life

Born at the time of the Electorate of Hanover in the city of Northeim, Karl Wilhelm Albes went through a career up to music director of the Royal Hanoverian Guard Grenadier Battalion , before joining the game on May 1, 1821 - while Great Britain and Hanover were still in union the second clarinet became a member of the orchestra of the Royal Hanoverian Court Orchestra . Like the other orchestra members of his time, he was obliged to perform public opera and concert services, while the palace opera house was his regular venue.

Just like the Royal Hanoverian court spectator August Albes later , Karl Wilhelm Albes was accepted into the Johannis Masonic lodge Zum Schwarzen Bär on June 5, 1828 .

As an orchestral musician, Albes then worked under Heinrich Marschner from 1831 , before he left the court orchestra again on April 1, 1844, in order to eventually work as governor in the Meinersen office.
