Karl Wolfgang Christoph Schüz (born July 23, 1811 in Lauterburg near Aalen , † April 29, 1875 in Tübingen ) was a Württemberg political scientist.

Life

Karl Wolfgang Christoph Schüz received his doctorate in political science. In 1837 he became an associate professor and in 1842 a full professor at the University of Tübingen . His portrait, painted by Bertha Froriep in 1868/69 , hangs in the Tübingen professors' gallery .

family

Karl Wolfgang Christoph Schüz was a son of Friedrich Christoph Schüz (born July 6, 1785 in Dettingen an der Erms ) and his wife Regine Wilhelmine Friederike Schüz, born. Ziegler (born December 30, 1791 in Gruibingen ). He married Pauline Stark on October 11, 1840 in Göppingen (born March 26, 1820 in Göppingen) and had the following children with her:

  2. Paul Eugen Christoph von Schüz (born December 11, 1842 in Tübingen)
  3. Karl Alfred Christoph Schüz (born July 11, 1845 in Tübingen)
