Karl of Luz

Karl Luz , from 1880 by Luz , (born August 3, 1824 in Altensteig ; † November 6, 1899 in Stuttgart ) was a Württemberg administrative officer and politician .

Life

Karl Luz attended the Latin school and the Realschule in Altensteig, then the grammar school in Stuttgart. From 1843 to 1846 he studied regular criminal science at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . In 1845 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Tübingen. After the two administrative service exams, he began as a trial trainee at the Calw District Office and the government of the Neckar District in Ludwigsburg. 1846 unskilled worker at the Stuttgart city administration, 1847 to 1849 actuarial administrator at the Cannstatt Oberamt . 1849 to 1853 senior actuary in Künzelsau and Neresheim. From 1853 to 1856 he was the city directorate actuary at the city directorate Stuttgart and unskilled worker at the poor commission in Stuttgart. Further stations were the government of the Danube district in Ulm and the central office for trade and commerce. From 1861 to 1866 Karl Luz was then senior bailiff in Welzheim and from 1866 to 1870 in Neuenbürg . From 1870 to 1874 he held this office in Heidenheim . In 1874 he became a government councilor, in 1877 a senior government councilor and in 1882 a government director and head of the government of the Black Forest district in Reutlingen. In 1887 he received the title of President of the Government, and in 1896 he retired. Luz was buried in the Pragfriedhof in Stuttgart. He was Erwin Rommel 's maternal grandfather .

From 1876 to 1877, Luz was a member of the Upper Office of Heidenheim in the Second Chamber of the Württemberg Land estates , from 1880 until his death for the Upper Office district of Nagold. He was a member of the state party.
