Karl von Riepenhausen

Karl Wilhelm von Riepenhausen (born May 31, 1852 in Marburg ; † April 7, 1929 in Binz ) was the owner of the manor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Riepenhausen attended high school and the cadet corps. He joined the army for the Franco-Prussian War from Selekta and was wounded (shot through the left foot) when taking Orleans (October 11, 1870). He was last à la suite of the Badischer Leib-Dragoons Regiment No. 20 and an officer from 1870 to 1881. He then devoted himself to the management of his property in Crangen . He was the author of Ulex europaeus and its importance as a fodder plant for the stand floor and secured family homes for all stands in the German Empire . He was also Knight of Honor of the Order of St. John , holder of the Iron Cross II. Class and the Knight's Cross II. Class of the Ernestine House Order .

From 1894 to 1908 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1903 to 1907 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Stralsund District 1 ( Rügen , Stralsund , Franzburg district ) and the German Conservative Party .
