Karl von Waldow and Reitzenstein (politicians, 1858)

Karl Friedrich Ernst Eduard von Waldow and Reitzenstein (born January 26, 1858 in Königswalde ; † January 31, 1945 there ) was a manor owner, forester and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Karl von Waldow and Reitzenstein attended the grammar school in Potsdam , the monastery school Roßleben , the University of Göttingen and the Royal Forest Academy Eberswalde . In 1878 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Göttingen , then in 1880 during his studies in Eberswalde a member of the Academic Schützenhaus-Gesellschaft (ASG). In 1882 he was appointed forest trainee, in 1885 forest assessor and in 1891 royal chief forester. In 1891 he left the state forest service and took over the Königswalde manor. He was district deputy, member of the district council, the district committee, the district committee for the administrative district of Frankfurt a. O. and the Chamber of Agriculture for the Province of Brandenburg.

From 1898 to 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the administrative district of Frankfurt 5 ( Oststernberg , Weststernberg ) and the German Conservative Party .

Shortly after he turned 87, he was killed by Soviet troops in his possession.
