Karla Sichelschmidt

Karla Sichelschmidt (born January 9, 1961 in Schwelm ) is a German lawyer. From October 2005 she was head of the Munich Regional Church Office of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria . The term of office was limited to September 30, 2015 and was not extended after a decision by the competent appeal committee of the regional synod. From October 1, 2015, she was in the human resources department of the Munich Regional Church Office as the leading canon law director, responsible for service and university law. Since November 2016, she has worked as a freelance speaker for the Goethe-Institut Cairo in various civil society projects together with Egyptian, Lebanese and Jordanian partner organizations. In addition, she was in charge of the new building of the Goethe Institute in Cairo (2nd construction phase) and represented the interests of the institute. the Federal Republic of Germany as the client and the construction company. This activity ended with the commissioning of the new building in summer 2019. As of September 15, 2019, she took up the position of Chancellor of the Weihenstephaner University of Applied Sciences - Triesdorf. There she is the supervisor of the non-academic staff, also responsible for budget and law.

Career

Karla Sichelschmidt studied law in Passau , Bonn and Munich , worked a. a. as a consultant for service and labor law at the regional church office in Munich. Sichelschmidt also worked in the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and as head of the press information and submissions to the Federal Council . In 1999 she was appointed senior church councilor in the regional church office of the Ev-luth. Regional Church in Braunschweig and headed the legal department there. In 2005 she was appointed senior church councilor of the ev-luth. Regional Church of Bavaria and appointed head of the Regional Church Office in Munich. In this office she was the chief lawyer of the Ev.-luth. Regional Church of Bavaria. Dr. Karla Sichelschmidt has been Chancellor of the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences since September 15, 2019.
