Karley Sciortino

Karley Sciortino (born October 16, 1985 in Highland, New York ) is an American writer , blogger , television presenter and producer.

Life

Sciortino moved to London from the United States , where she lived in a squatter community. In 2010 Sciortino moved back to New York City . She currently lives in New York and Los Angeles .

She is the founder of Slutever, a website that focuses on sex and sexuality . Sciortino started her blog "Slutever" in 2007 when she was still living in London. Initially the blog was about their sexual activities and the lives of roommates in their commune, but it soon grew into what the New York Times called "Chronicle of Sexual Experimentation."

In 2012, Sciortino and producer Adri Murguia started a web series called Slutever for Vice that ran for three seasons. The series dealt journalistically with taboo aspects of modern sexuality, with Sciortino impersonating the main role. In 2017, Sciortino and Murguia jointly created the Viceland television series, also known as Slutever , which was thematically derived from the web series.

Karley Sciortino also writes an online sex and relationships column called "Breathless" in the US edition of Vogue . In 2017 she starred in the episode "Seitenjobs" (03x02) on Joe Swanberg's Netflix TV show Easy . In 2019 she created the Starz television series Now Apocalypse together with Gregg Araki .
