Easy is an American television series that premiered on the video-on-demand provider Netflix . The idea for Easy comes from the independent filmmaker Joe Swanberg, who directed all episodes and also wrote the screenplays. The first season of the series consists of eight episodes that were released on September 22, 2016.
In April 2017, Netflix announced that there would be a second season, also consisting of eight episodes. This was broadcast for the first time on December 1, 2017.
In August 2018, Netflix announced that a third and final season had been commissioned, which premiered on May 10, 2019.

The series is an anthology series because although all episodes are set in the same city ( Chicago ), almost every episode focuses on different characters and storylines. However, there are some characters that appear in multiple episodes. The series focuses mainly on the relationships between couples who come from different age groups or milieus.
Cast and dubbing
The German synchronization of the first two seasons was done by Studio Hamburg Synchron , that of the third season by the CSC studio. Engelbert von Nordhausen wrote the dialogue book for the first season and also directed the dialogue. The dubbing book for the second season was written by Thomas Rock, with Karin Grüger directing the dialogue. Robert Kotulla wrote the dialogue book for the third season and also directed the dialogue.

In the Internet Movie Database, the series received a rating of 6.8 out of ten stars based on 9,227 votes. The first season achieved a critic rating of 85 percent and an audience rating of 73 percent on Rotten Tomatoes . The second season received a critical rating of 86 percent and an audience rating of 94 percent. The third season received a 100 percent critical rating. On Metacritic , the series received an average rating of 72 out of 100 points from 15 votes.
"Based on the pilot episode, however, I would definitely give a clear recommendation to watch, although I could imagine that Easy would also be best enjoyed as a classic Netflix-and-chill series."
