Karsten Drath

Karsten Drath (born December 25, 1969 in Koblenz ) is a German executive coach and author. He is one of the managing partners at Leadership Choices, an international management consultancy specializing in leadership development . In his work with executives, Drath has specialized in the field of mental resilience, among other things .

Life

After graduating from high school, Drath first completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and then began studying supply engineering at the Trier University of Applied Sciences , which he completed in 1997 as a graduate engineer. After completing his studies, he started as a consultant at the international management consultancy Andersen Consulting (now Accenture ) in Frankfurt, before moving to the consulting firm Entero AG in the summer of 2000. From July 2002 to March 2007, Drath was director of major international change projects at Bombardier Transportation in Berlin. In April 2007, until May 2011, he took over the development of the consulting business at Perot Systems and later at the computer manufacturer Dell in Frankfurt and Munich as Managing Director . Since 2006 he has been working as a management coach and partner at Leadership Choices in Frankfurt. He has been one of the managing partners since April 2011.

In parallel to his various professional positions, Karsten Drath acquired an Executive MBA in 2002 from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago and the Scientific University of Management ( WHU ) Koblenz. Since November 2011 he has also been a certified alternative practitioner for psychotherapy (Academy for Holistic Medicine, Heidelberg).

Drath is a lecturer at the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, the Center for Creative Leadership in Brussels, and the World Economic Forum in Geneva.

In addition, Drath is a founding member and board member of ORES - "Association for Organizational Resilience - Association for Organizational Resilience".

Drath is married with two children and lives near Heidelberg. He is a former triathlon athlete and continues to do endurance sports in his free time.

Among other things, Drath supports the organization Rock Your Life! through his work as a coach for the Heidelberg board.

In addition, he is involved in the zis Foundation for Study Trips, which awards study trip grants to young people, as a member of the board of trustees and collects donations there by cycling around the world in 10 stages.
