Movie

In 2012 Karsten Scheuren made a documentary entitled "Seven Days in September" about the two extreme ski mountaineers and speed climbers Sebastian Haag and Benedikt Böhm . In addition to the personal environment and the rivalry between the two, the attempt to speed up the 8th-highest eight-thousander Manaslu is a central theme. The tragic avalanche accident in which Haag and Böhm were the first to be at the scene of the accident and were able to save some mountain comrades, but also had 11 deaths, is described up close. Scheuren dramatically describes the absolute will of the two extreme climbers to - then only partially successful - summit success in the face of death. The film lasts 1:21 and opened on December 11, 2014.
