Karuan (* 1976 in Vienna ) is the pseudonym of the Austrian musician Karwan Marouf .

Career

In 2008 the band was nominated for the FM4 Award, which is presented as part of the Amadeus Austrian Music Award .

Karuan released his debut album "Dohuki Ballet" in 2002. The follow-up album "Pop Arif" was released in 2007, which was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category " FM4 Alternative Act of the Year" the year after . The musician of Kurdish origin also appeared as a remixer with works for the New York DJ and producer Nickodemus and the Austrian band DelaDap . Between 2010 and 2015 Karuan also toured with a band in Greece .
