Kasimir zur Lippe-Brake (born July 22, 1627 in Brake ; † March 12, 1700 there ) was Count zu Lippe-Brake .

Life

Kasimir was born on July 22, 1627 as the son of Otto zur Lippe-Brake and Margarete von Nassau-Dillenburg (1606-1661).

He studied in Marburg and from 1647 to 1650 was on an educational trip to Brussels, Paris, Lyon, Geneva and Italy. From 1650 he helped his father. This time was marked by the reconstruction after the Thirty Years War and the improvement of relations with the House of Lippe-Detmold. When his father died on December 18, 1657, Kasimir took control of the County of Lippe-Brake in Brake Castle .

In 1663 he married Anna Amalia zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Homburg (1642–1683). A new heyday of the Braker Grafenhaus began, which was also made visible by a new construction period at Brake Castle .

In 1692 he handed over the government to his eldest son Rudolph. He kept his house in Schieder as a body breed .

Count Casimir died in 1700.
