Kaspar Seibold

Kaspar Seibold (born October 14, 1914 in Lenggries ; † October 15, 1995 there ) was a German farmer and politician ( CSU ).

Life and work

After schooling Seibold began studying agriculture, he with the examination to agronomist and awarded the degree of Dr. agr. ended. In 1939 he was German champion in skiing. He was then drafted into the Wehrmacht and took part in the Second World War as a soldier , most recently as a first lieutenant.

Seibold has worked as a social policy advisor at the Bavarian Farmers' Association (BBV) since 1945 . From 1946 to 1949 he was the Bavarian representative for food, agriculture and forestry at the regional council in Stuttgart . At the same time he acted as Hermann Dietrich's secretary . In 1949/50 he was a consultant for nutrition, agriculture and forestry at the Bavarian representation in the Federal Council .

Seibold joined the CSU in 1946 and was chairman of the CSU district association Bad Tölz from 1955 to 1972 . In 1948/49 he was the youngest member of the 65-member Parliamentary Council that drafted the constitution of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the final vote on May 23, 1949, he voted NO because the Bavarian State Parliament did not agree. He was also a member of the Upper Bavaria District Assembly . From 1966 to 1984 he was mayor of Lenggries . In addition, he was deputy district administrator for the Bad Tölz district .
