Kaspar Wilhelm von Düringshofen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kaspar Wilhelm von Düringshofen (* before 1713; † 1743 ) was a Prussian colonel and chief of the Magdeburg Land Regiment .

Life

Origin and family

Kaspar Wilhelm was a member of the Brandenburg noble family von Düringshofen .

Career

Düringshofen was an officer in the Prussian army . It is unclear when he became chief of the Magdeburg Land Regiment , probably still as a lieutenant colonel . He is named as such as early as 1713, which, given the regiment's formation in 1729, can at best refer to a forerunner formation. The naming of the first regiment chief in 1729 is also questionable. The ranking lists him from 1735 and then already in the rank of colonel in this position. His successor as head of the Magdeburg Land Regiment was, however, not the same name as Colonel Bernhard Sigismund von Berg .
