Bernhard Sigismund von Berg († 1753 ) was a Prussian colonel and chief of the Magdeburg Land Regiment .

Life

Origin and family

Bernhard Sigismund was born as the natural son of the heir to Herzfelde , Otto Franz von Berg, the von Berg noble family from Brandenburg . He was legitimized on August 16, 1721. He was married, but left no heirs.

Career

Berg joined the Prussian Army and at the time of his legitimation, in 1721, was already captain in the infantry regiment "von Brandenburg-Schwedt" . On May 29, 1733 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel in the regiment and on June 29 and 30, 1735, as colonel, he became chief of the Magdeburg Land Regiment . His successor as head of the Magdeburg Land Regiment was on January 27, 1743, according to other sources, until 1753, Colonel Bernhard Friedrich von Ahlimb .
