Bernhard Friedrich von Ahlimb

Bernhard Friedrich von Ahlimb (born December 10, 1699 in Ringenwalde , † January 6, 1757 in Magdeburg ) was a Prussian colonel and commander of the garrison in Magdeburg .

Life

Origin and family

Bernhard Friedrich came from the Uckermark noble family von Ahlimb . His parents were the heir to Ringenwalde Friedrich Wilhelm von Ahlimb and Maria Tugendreich von Barfuß . He was married to Juliana Victorine von Werder without children . His brother and heir Joachim Wilhelm von Ahlimb (1701–1763) was the last commandant of the Regenstein Castle in the Vorharz region. With his son Gustav Andreas von Ahlimb (1750-1830) the Ahlimb family died out in the male line .

Military career

Ahlimb joined the Prussian Army at the age of 12 . He was involved in the siege of Stralsund and in the battle of Mollwitz . In 1743, as colonel, he became chief of garrison regiment No. 3 and commander of the garrison in Magdeburg. He was also canon of the St. Nikolai Monastery in Magdeburg.
