Kasper Hämäläinen (born August 8, 1986 in Turku ) is a Finnish football player who has been under contract with the Czech first division club FK Jablonec since 2019 .
Career
society
He began his professional career with the Finnish first division and home club Turun Palloseura . In June 2008, the Portuguese club Nacional Funchal was interested in a commitment, but negotiations failed because of the transfer fee. Other clubs like AS Roma , Lazio , Udinese Calcio , AC Siena and NEC Nijmegen also showed interest, but he decided to stay in Turku.
In December 2009 he moved to the Swedish first division club Djurgårdens IF . There he immediately became a regular player and played all 30 league games of the season for the next three years. In the first two seasons he played in central midfield alongside his compatriot Daniel Sjölund . Since the 2011/12 season he had moved more into the offensive midfield and took over the role of playmaker there.
At the end of January 2013, Hämäläinen moved to the Polish first division club Lech Posen . There he signed a three-year contract until the end of December 2015.
On January 11, 2016, he moved to league rivals Legia Warsaw and signed a three-and-a-half year contract.
Hämäläinen joined FK Jablonec in the Czech Republic on a free transfer in 2019 .
National team
Hämäläinen was part of the Finnish U-17 national team at the 2003 U-17 World Cup . Then he was a regular in the U-21 national team and thus qualified for the U-21 European Football Championship in 2009 , where he played all three games. He made his debut for the Finnish national soccer team on November 19, 2008 in the game against Switzerland . He scored his first goal on November 17, 2010 in the game against San Marino , which was won 8-0.
