Kasper Risgård (born January 4, 1983 in Aalborg ) is a Danish football player in the service of Silkeborg IF .
Career
Kasper Risgård gained his first experience as a professional player at the end of the 2002/03 season in the Danish Superliga . In the first games for his club Aalborg BK , where he was already active as a youth player, he showed some appealing performances, but he could not build on in the course of the following season. Because of this, Aalborg decided in 2004 to loan him to the then Danish second division club FC Nordjylland for a season .
After his return to Aalborg Risgård initially stayed on the bench again. At the end of the 2005/06 season he was given the chance to play his way back into the team as a central defender, which he also succeeded in doing. In autumn 2007 he was transferred to the defensive midfield by his new coach Erik Hamrén . In this position he finally established himself in the team with good performances in the league, the Champions League and the UEFA Cup . As a preliminary highlight of his career, he celebrated the Danish Championship in the 2007/08 season .
Risgård took the next step in his career in the summer of 2009 when he switched to the German club Arminia Bielefeld , who had previously been relegated from the Bundesliga . He received a three-year contract. In Bielefeld, Risgård could not fight for a regular place. Already in the summer of 2010 he moved to Panionios Athens, as he was sorted out by coach Christian Ziege at Arminia for sporting and financial reasons . There he was not used, however, so that he returned to Denmark for the new season, to Silkeborg IF .
