Kassel Art Prize

The Kassel Art Prize is a regional sponsorship award from the city of Kassel .

The art prize has been awarded annually since 1992 by the Dr. Wolfgang Zippel Foundation awarded to young artists up to the age of 30, who are mostly based in the North Hessian area or were born there and are divided into the areas of visual arts and music . The foundation " Kassel Art Prize Dr. Wolfgang Zippel Foundation ”was founded in 1991. The board of directors is the magistrate of the city of Kassel, which is supported by a foundation council. The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros, or if both categories are awarded at the same time, 7,500 euros each.
