Katharina Willkomm (née Kloke , born February 19, 1987 in Düsseldorf ) is a German politician ( FDP ). She has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2017 .

Life and work

After graduating from high school , Katharina Willkomm completed her law studies at the University of Bonn , which she completed with the first state examination . After the subsequent legal clerkship at the Aachen Regional Court , she passed the second state examination in 2017 . Since then she has been working as a lawyer in a law firm in Stolberg .

The lawyer has been a member of the district board of the Düren FDP since 2014 and was previously active with the Young Liberals at state level. During her studies she worked for a member of parliament in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . She worked as a knowledgeable citizen in the Düren city council .

In the 2017 federal election , Willkomm ran in the Düren constituency and won 5.9 percent of the votes cast. In the entire state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the FDP won 13.1 percent, making it the 20th on the state list in the Bundestag.

Willkomm is the spokesperson for consumer protection for the FDP parliamentary group .

Since January 2018, Katharina Willkomm has been a full member of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Consumer Protection of the Bundestag and the election review committee . In addition, she is a deputy member of the Committee on Health and the 1st Committee of Inquiry “about the attack on Berlin's Breitscheidplatz on December 19, 2016 ”. In January 2019, Willkomm switched to the Digital Agenda committee as a deputy member of the Petitions Committee .
