Giuseppe Leo (born January 30, 1995 in Munich ) is a German - Italian soccer player .

Career

Leo began his career in the youth department of FC Bayern Munich . After numerous appearances for the U-17, U-19 and in the UEFA Youth League , he was promoted to the squad of the second team at FC Bayern Munich in 2014. There he was not used because of a ruptured cruciate ligament and in 2015 he moved to the second team of FC Ingolstadt in the fourth-class Bavarian regional league . Towards the end of the 2016/17 season , Leo was in the squad of the FC Ingolstadt Bundesliga team four times, but was never used. His contract, which expired in 2017, was not extended in the summer of 2017.

After a short absence from a club, he was signed by the third division Karlsruher SC in September 2017 . There he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2018. He made his professional debut on September 24, 2017 (10th matchday) in a 2-0 home game against FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt when he came on as a substitute for the injured Marvin Wanitzek in stoppage time. There was no further use for the first team, only for the second team he came to a total of 14 appearances in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg .

His expiring contract was not renewed at the end of the season and so Leo moved to the Swiss second division club FC Aarau on July 1, 2018 , where he signed a two-year contract.
