Damir Mehidić (born January 7, 1992 ) is a Bosnian football player on the position of a defender who is under contract with FC Aarau in the Challenge League .

Career

Damir Mehidić began his sporting career as the son of an amateur footballer in the offspring of the NK Tuzla, where he went through all junior levels, followed by transferring to the third-class Fanion team. In 2012, Mehidić moved one step up ( Prva Liga FBiH ), where he moved to the traditional second division club FK Sloboda Tuzla after a season at suburban club FK Sloga Tojsici . As a regular player (with seven goals this season), he also played a key role in the club's return to the Premijer Liga in 2014 . In the 2015/16 season, Mehidić was even in the final of the Bosnian Cup with Sloboda Tuzla, which was lost to FK Radnik Bijeljina after a two-way leg with a total of 1: 4. In the summer of 2016, Mehidić also played twice in the Europa League qualification against Beitar Jerusalem (0: 0/0: 1). In January 2017 he finally moved to the Swiss second division club FC Aarau, where he currently has a contract until the end of June 2020.
