Marco Schneuwly (born March 27, 1985 ) is a Swiss football player in the position of striker . He is under contract with FC Aarau in the Challenge League .
Career
society
Schneuwly has played for Bern Young Boys since 2004 and played on loan for FC Sion in 2006 and for SC Kriens in the 2006/07 season . After his return to the BSC Young Boys he achieved his final breakthrough in the 2008/09 season : In 32 missions he scored nine goals, with the BSC he was runner-up. In January 2012, Schneuwly moved to FC Thun , for whom he scored six goals in 14 games in the second half of the season.
In spring 2014, he went to league rivals FC Luzern . In his first season at 2014/15 he scored 17 championship goals, 2 goals in the Europa League qualification and 6 goals in the Swiss Cup 2014/15 . In his second season 2015/16 with FCL, he scored 16 championship goals and 6 goals in the Swiss Cup 2015/16 . In the third year at FC Luzern, Schneuwly scored 21 goals, 14 of them in the 2016/17 championship , 6 goals in the 2016/17 Swiss Cup and 1 goal in the Europa League qualification . His contract ran until 2018. For the 2017/18 season, he moved to FC Sion and scored seven goals in 32 league games.
During the summer break of 2018, Schneuwly signed a two-year contract with FC Aarau .

Schneuwly played various international junior matches from the U-17 to the U-21 for Switzerland. In 2002 he won the U-17 European Championship .

He played on the same team with his brother Christian Schneuwly for four years. Three seasons between 2007 and 2011 with BSC Young Boys , in the 2013/2014 season with FC Thun and from January 2016 to June 2017 with FC Luzern , before Marco Schneuwly switched to FC Sion .
