Christian Schneuwly (born February 7, 1988 in Wünnewil ) is a Swiss football player . The midfielder is currently playing for Lausanne-Sport in the Challenge League .
Career
society
Schneuwly played 25 times in the U-21s of the Bernese Young Boys in the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons and scored two goals. In the 2007/08 season he ran twice (no goal) for the Bernese first team in the Super League . In the 2008/09 season, there are 27 league appearances (six goals) for FC Biel-Bienne in the Challenge League . The two subsequent rounds he spent again in the ranks of the Young Boys. The statistics show 45 league appearances and five goals for him in this career phase. The FC Thun was in 2011/12 a loan as part of his employer. With the team from the Bernese Oberland , he played 30 Super League games and scored eight times in the opposing goal. Two seasons followed as a player for BSC Young Boys Bern. However, after 30 games played across the seasons (one goal) for the club during the 2013/14 season, he moved again to FC Thun in early August 2013. There he played in 47 games (eight goals) until 2015. He left the club in 2015 in the current 2014/2015 season and joined FC Zurich .
In January 2016 he moved to FC Luzern , where he signed a contract until the end of June 2018. On January 18, 2018, he prematurely extended his contract for two more years until the end of June 2020. On July 30, 2019, he terminated his current contract with immediate effect and later joined FC Lausanne-Sport .
National team
Schneuwly completed eight international junior matches for the U-20 national team in Switzerland and scored two goals.
Others
In the 2013/14 season he played for FC Thun with his brother Marco Schneuwly , as was the case with BSC Young Boys for three seasons and from January 2016 to the end of June 2017 at FC Luzern.
