Kathi Schwaab (born November 26, 1972 ) is a former German biathlete .

Kathi Schwaab lives in Forchheim ( Franconia ) and works as a banker. She started biathlon in 1989 and first started in 1993 in her home town of Oberhof in the biathlon world cup . In her first race, an individual, she was the 13th to win her first World Cup points. At the 1995 Biathlon World Championships , Schwaab won the silver medal in the team competition with Simone Greiner-Petter-Memm , Uschi Disl and Petra Behle . In 1996 she was able to run in Östersund as fifth in an individual for the first time under the top ten in a World Cup race. In the same season she achieved her best result in a single race as third in the sprint in Oberhof. Only in a team race in 1997 in Ruhpolding was she able to achieve an even better position with second place. In the overall ranking of the individual World Cup, Schwaab came in tenth. In 1997 she took part in biathlon world championships for the second time . In Osrblie she started in the individual and finished 34th and reached 13th place in the team race. She also became European champion in 1999 and won a bronze medal in the sprint in 1994 and in the relay in 1995.
